61 West 62 Street

The original layout of this Upper West Side postwar two bedroom residence included a dining L adjacent to a small kitchen. The apartment was reconfigured to encompass a large great room, affording views and light to the entire public space. The kitchen is both a part of the great room and delineated by an island housing a wine cellar and bar. The boundaries of the private spaces were wrapped in cherry millwork creating a sense of privacy and distance from the larger public area.
